For those of us familiar with Tinder, matching with a fake person or bot has become an all too familiar thing. They bring promises of sex, but in reality they attempt to get you to sign up for an adult dating site, making the creator of the bot some money for each sign up.
But have you ever thought about just how much money those annoying Tinder bots are making? We did, so we decided to investigate, here are our findings.
We matched with the lovely Anna towards the end of last month in the UK. While we politely declined her request we did notice that she was using a bit.ly link. The thing with bit.ly links is that you can find out how many people are clicking on it by simply adding a + to the end of the url.
